Data encryption and storage
How SRA protects your school's data at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption.
Encryption at rest
All data stored in SRA — student records, marks, reports — is encrypted with AES-256. Database backups are also encrypted before being written to storage.
Encryption in transit
All communication between your browser and SRA servers uses TLS 1.3. You will always see a padlock icon in your browser's address bar.
Data location
Tanzanian schools are served from data centers in the East Africa region. Data does not leave the region except for backup redundancy.
