Sending results to parents via SMS

Send individual or batch SMS messages to parents with their child's result summary directly from SRA.

SRA integrates with SMS gateways to deliver result summaries to parents by mobile phone number. No parent app is required.

Pre-requisites

Parents' phone numbers must be added to student records
Grade calculation must have been run for the term
Your school's SMS balance must be sufficient

Sending results

Go to Communications → Send Results
Select the term and class (or All Classes)
Choose delivery channel: SMS
Preview the message template (shows student name, division, subjects, pass/fail)
Click Send — messages are queued and delivered within minutes

Checking delivery status

Go to Communications → Delivery Reports to see sent, delivered, and failed counts per batch. Failed deliveries show the phone number and error reason.

SMS is charged per message. Sending to all classes can use significant credits. Check your balance before a large batch.
