CSEE grade calculation explained
How SRA converts raw marks into CSEE grades (A–F), GPA points, and NECTA divisions (I–IV and 0).
Grade scale
- A (75–100%) — 1 point
- B (65–74%) — 2 points
- C (50–64%) — 3 points
- D (30–49%) — 4 points
- F (0–29%) — 5 points (fail)
Division calculation
A student's division is determined by the total grade points across their 7 best subjects (or fewer if they take fewer). Lower total points = better division.
Division thresholds (7 subjects)
- Division I: 7–17 points
- Division II: 18–21 points
- Division III: 22–25 points
- Division IV: 26–33 points
- Division 0: 34+ points (or failed 2+ compulsory subjects)
SRA uses the official NECTA Tanzania grade table. Division thresholds may be updated by NECTA — contact support if you believe a threshold has changed.
